I read this article a few days ago and couldn't stop laughing. The author of this blog is right on the money about what blogging is, but to think NY Times bothered to write something so stupid left my sides sore. I mean, how is blogging any different than an internet addiction, or a gaming one? Just because of the money? Give me a break.
News is getting dumber and more desperate these days, and it is not the lack of content. Lots of interesting things are happening. Maybe people are just getting dumber?
What's the most valuable thing you've ever had stolen?
I took a MacBook charger I found in Georgetown's MBA building during a late-night cram session. I saw it attached in one of the bigger rooms and knew the cleaning ladies would either take it or throw it away. So I left my contact info, but just so no random person tries to claim it, I wrote:
I found your charger, please e-mail me at xxx@xxx.x or call me at xxx-xxx-xxxx with what type of charger it is.
I never got a message, but I have no way of knowing if it was because a cleaning lady removed it or the guy never came back for his charger.
It is convenient to have a second charger, though...
